GLENDENNING
Glendenning is a recent industrial area, with industry located south of Lamb Street and residential areas in the north. Glendenning is bounded by Richmond Road in the north, the Eastern Creek in the east, Woodstock Avenue in the south and Westlink (M7) in the west. Glendenning is named after William Glendenning, an early land holder.
Settlement of the area dates from the early 1900s. Growth was minimal until the late 1980s. Rapid development occurred during the early 1990s, with growth slowing from the mid 1990s. The population increased marginally between 2001 and 2006, a result of new dwellings being added to the area.
Major features of the area include Glendenning Reserve, Joe McAleer Park and two schools.
