WESTMEAD
Westmead is an established residential and institutional area. Westmead is bounded by Toongabbie Creek in the north and north-east, Park Avenue in the south-east, the railway line in the south and Finlaysons Creek in the west. Part of the suburb of Westmead is located in Holroyd City. Westmead is named for its location - the west “mead” (meadow) of the Parramatta Government Domain.
Major features of the area include Westmead Hospital, The Children's Hospital at Westmead, Cumberland Hospital, Marsden Centre, Westmead Private Hospital, University of Western Sydney (Westmead Precinct) and two schools.
