Clyde is a predominantly rural area. Clyde is Bounded by Grices Road and a line running continuous of Grices Road in the North, the Cardinia Creek, McCormacks Road, Pound Road and Tooradin Station Road in the east, Manks Road, Gates Lane, the locality of Tooradin, the South Gippsland Highway and Baxter Tooradin Road in the south and Craig Road, the South Gippsland Highway, the locality of Cranebourne East, Thompsons Road and Berwick-Cranebourne Road in the West.

The key streets in the region for industrial use include; Wentworth Street, Kendall Street, Parramatta Road, George Street, Marsh Street, Factory Street, Tennyson Street, Berry Street and  Deniehy Street.
