HOMEBUSH
Homebush is a predominantly residential area, with some industrial and commercial land use. Homebush has experienced significant housing growth in recent years. Homebush is bounded by Homebush Bay Drive in the north, Powells Creek, Parramatta Road and the railway line in the east, Beresford Road, The Crescent, Homebush Road, Beresford Road, Broughton Road and Arthur Street in the south, and Hampstead Road, Kessell Avenue, The Crescent, a line running through Paddy's Markets, Bedford Road and a line running north of the Western Motorway in the west. Homebush is named after an early property in the area ‘Home Bush'. It was previously known as Liberty Plains.
Major features of the area include part of Sydney's Paddy's Markets, Direct Factory Outlets, Airey Park, Bressington Park, Mason Park and two schools.
