GREYSTANES

Greystanes - Pemulwuy is a residential area with an industrial area in the north-west. Significant residential development has taken place in the western section since 2006. Greystanes - Pemulwuy is bounded by the Great Western Highway in the north, Emert Street, Jersey Road and Betts Road in the east, the walking track, Gardenia Parade, Dahlia Street, Alpha Road, Kurrajong Road, Gipps Road and Prospect Creek in the south and the Blacktown City boundary in the west. Greystanes is named after the outcrop of basalt on Prospect Hill. Pemulwuy is a recently named suburb and was previously part of Prospect.

Major features of the area include Greystanes Shopping Centre, Cumberland Country Golf Club, Gipps Road Sporting Complex, Greystanes Sports Ground, Bathurst Street Park, Daniel Street Park, Darling Street Park, Hyland Road Park, Lower Prospect Canal Park, Marrong Reserve, Nemesia Street Park, Roberta Street Park and numerous schools.
