DURAL

Dural - Middle Dural is a predominantly rural area with some industial land use. Dural - Middle Dural is bounded by Pangari Creek in the north, Old Northern Road in the east, the locality of Glenhaven and Dooral Dooral Creek in the south and the locality of Kenthurst and O’Haras Creek in the west. Parts of the suburbs of Dural and Middle Dural are located in Hornsby Shire. Dural is named from an Aboriginal word meaning “burning logs” or “a hollow tree on fire at the bottom and smoking at the top”.
